Talking about sensitive topics like sexual wellbeing can be challenging for both patients and clinicians. When supporting stoma patients, it became clear there was a real need to address sexual wellbeing as part of holistic care. Alongside our client, we developed an empathetic solution to equip clinicians to start vital conversations and help patients to engage with confidence.

Our approach was two-fold, addressing both clinician and patient needs. We created impactful videos using patient testimonials and relatable imagery. These videos highlighted the importance of the issue and fostered understanding, allowing clinicians to talk to patients sensitively and eloquently.

We also designed discussion aids to guide productive dialogue. By offering a structured way for patients to indicate topics they wanted to talk about, including sexual wellbeing, the tools removed barriers and opened the door for meaningful conversation. The response from clinicians to this unique campaign was phenomenal, with the client being heralded for providing support and skills to address this critical issue.
