Agility in action – rapid response to a supply chain crisis

Challenge: Create emergency patient communication resources that enable uninterrupted home therapy use.

When a manufacturing facility was unexpectedly damaged by a hurricane, the client was forced to ship in products from multiple global locations to service chronically ill patients at home. The slight variations in design and packaging of these products risked causing anxiety and confusion for patients.

Our team initiated a rapid-response strategy, coordinating a high-quality photo shoot to generate content for clear, step-by-step guides for every product variation. These visual aids were designed to help patients seamlessly transition to using their new products without uncertainty or disruption.

With stringent regulatory, legal and medical compliance requirements, every asset had to be meticulously reviewed and approved before distribution. Health literacy guidelines recommend patient communications to be aimed at the reading level of a 9-12-year old. Working closely with stakeholders and patient communication experts, we ensured the guides and brochures were simple and easy to follow.

By acting swiftly and effectively, we supported the client to transform a critical event into an opportunity to reinforce trust, clarity and continuity of care.
